We are looking for an efficient Billing Coordinator, reporting to our Accounting Manager, to take on our billing / collections needs. The billing coordinator will be responsible for creating and sending invoices, tracking payment processes, keeping detailed records, and working with the team to resolve any discrepancies. The right applicant will also be able to handle client complaints and follow up on any issues relating to the billing process.
To be successful as a billing coordinator you should be able to multitask without compromising the accuracy of your work. An outstanding billing coordinator should have a strong numerical aptitude,be a tech savvy person, and display excellent customer service skills.

This role offers the challenge of developing detailed design documents for unique water infrastructure projects that require creative and innovative thinking, research, and communication to solve new and complex design issues.
In your first six months, you’ll evaluate and design small- to large-scale water utility infrastructure projects throughout the greater Bay Area, in collaboration with senior staff and principal engineers. This will include preparation of drawings (AutoCAD), specifications, and cost estimates. Your role will also include conducting field investigations, providing construction support services, writing technical reports, completing hydrologic calculations and models, and coordinating projects. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and use GIS and modeling software.
Long-term, you’ll manage projects, perform as lead design engineer, and assist and mentor junior engineers. You’ll learn (or apply your experience) to rehabilitate and replace pipeline and pump station infrastructure. With exposure to a wide range of projects, including asset management, hydrologic modeling, channel restoration, and infrastructure design, you’ll have the opportunity to manage a broad portfolio of interesting work supporting a multitude of clients.
While experience is not required, an EIT certificate is. Solid water resources engineering coursework is essential, as is a passion for this profession. Previous civil engineering work experience including internships and participation in engineering-related extracurricular activities is preferred.

As a licensed PE with a BSCE and 5-10+ years of experience, you’ll be comfortable managing projects on your own and delegating work to junior staff. Schaaf & Wheeler is looking for an entry level to highly proficient CAD Drafter/Designer to develop design and construction drawings.
This position involves the extensive use of AutoCAD Civil 3D, drafting systems, GIS systems and client standards to prepare drawings and revise/update existing drawings for a variety of water resources engineering projects. Drawings include maps, construction documents, figures and other graphics used in a variety of products, including construction documents and reports.
